Patches for 1.4.10

The wiki knows about bugs and their fixes in 1.4.10. Usually it covers small patches which fix problems discovered after the release.

But more interesting for the future is the section about patches for the current release.

mod_deflate for compressing dynamic content

mod_extforward to extract the Host from X-forwarded-for

the mysqlvhost patches for mod_fastcgi

They will be check in the next ‘feature’ release. If you want to try them out now and test them, feel free to contact the authors of the patches directly.

Is mod_deflate included in the 1.4.11 version? How about mod_deflate and mod_compress be one single module?

It looks like lighttpd-1.4.x-svn currently has all of the above fixes and much more.

It would be great if we had a lighttpd-1.4.11-beta package for people to test.

While users like me don't mind using svn, there are probably many more that just want to use prebuilt packages.

I agree with LightyUser.

A .11 release would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for Lighttpd!

It seems 1.4.10 introduces serious new bugs but after applying some user-contributed patches, it works better than 1.4.9 for me.

Please consider releasing 1.4.11 soon with at least these user-contributed patches found in these bug reports:

#520 Null string bug in mod_cgi introduced in 1.4.10
http://trac.lighttpd.net/trac/ticket/520

#524 Memory leak
http://trac.lighttpd.net/trac/ticket/524

I think the above two user-contributed patches combined with changesets 990-992 is worth a new release. Without them, Lighttpd-1.4.10 is unusable for many of us.

Hate to get somewhat offtopic, but I need to get this working. Is there a more comprehensive documentation that I've found for converting Apache RewriteRule and RewriteCond?

I've got to convert this code if I have any hope of making the jump over the lighttpd for my work's application: http://www.rafb.net/paste/results/2d25R666.html

Thanks!
